BELLEVUE, WA — May 11, 2021 — (POP CULTURE NEWSWIRE) — Katy Perry teased an eight-second snippet of her upcoming Pokémon 25th Anniversary single, “ELECTRIC,” on her Facebook and Twitter communities Monday evening.
The pop icon asked her fans to pre-save the song on Spotify.
By “pre-saving,” an artist’s fans can add an unreleased song or album to their Spotify queue. On the song’s release date, Spotify will automatically play it for them.

Perry, along with Post Malone and J Balvin, are just three of the 11 artists who will contribute music to celebrate the iconic video game’s 25th anniversary throughout the year. The collaborative soundtrack, titled Pokémon 25: The Album, will feature a total of 14 songs from Universal Music Group (UMG) artists.
